Form Fields

Build a fillable PDF. Choose a field type, then click on the page to place it. Drag the small blue tab in the top-left corner of a field to move it. Click Apply when you're done to bake the real form fields into the PDF.

Some PDFs — IRS forms like a W-9 are a common example — already come with real fillable fields built in, positioned exactly where they belong. This finds those and turns them into fields you can edit right here, instead of placing everything by hand.

Pages

Drag a page to reorder it in the main area. Click the ✕ on a page to remove it. Nothing changes in your document until you hit Apply.

Custom field title

Each page has a small rotate/delete control in its top-right corner while you're working in this panel — those icons are just for editing and never appear in your downloaded or printed PDF.

Draw, highlight, and signature tools all work on this letter too — just switch to Draw whenever you need them.

Need a different size for a page that already has content on it (not a fresh blank one)? Each page's rotate/delete corner control also has a resize option — Letter, Legal, or Ledger, with everything already on the page repositioned to fit.

Compress PDF

Reduce the file size of your PDF.

Light (lossless) Strips internal redundancy — metadata, unused objects, duplicate streams. Nothing visual changes. Typically saves 5–20%. Strong (re-encode images) Each page is re-rendered and its images recompressed at a lower quality. Best for scanned docs. Can cut 50–90%. Text on pure-vector pages stays sharp; image-heavy pages will be slightly softer.

Make Searchable (OCR)

Finds text in scanned or image-based pages and bakes it invisibly into the PDF, so the page still looks exactly the same but its text becomes selectable and copyable — click-drag over the page like any normal PDF, then copy with Ctrl/Cmd+C — and searchable, in Kadendoc's own Find bar and in any other PDF viewer too. This makes the text selectable and searchable, not editable — the page you see stays a picture; only the invisible text sitting behind it is new, so there's nothing to click and retype. This is also different from the Find bar's own scanned-page search, which only reads text for that one session and never changes the file itself.

Only pages that need it Pages with little or no existing text, plus any page with an embedded image (like a logo) that might carry text of its own. Skips pages that are already fully text-based. Every page Slower, but won't miss anything on a page that turns out to need it.
